The Jefferson, Washington, DC

Good – Not Great Stayed at The Jefferson Hotel for four nights in late December. We stayed in a Deluxe King Room, Room #512 and paid $455 + tax etc. The Pros; The hotel is a 5 Star property in a great location if you want to visit the various landmarks in DC. The Housekeeping standards and service is top notch as is the overall cleanliness of the room and overall property. The Staff we interacted with were very attentive and courteous. The Cons; The room we stayed in # 512. It was noisy – lots of street noise can be heard each night. The room was small however had everything we needed in it. The food and beverage is pretty average and as expected in a hotel of this standard expensive – we were served burnt toast and a burnt bagel on one of the mornings for breakfast. We were in a rush to get out to a tour or would have asked for it to be replaced. We would recommend the property if you want to stay in a very good location, with high quality rooms – be sure to check on room location and avoid noise, and plan on making your meal plans outside the property.

Highly highly recommend staying here. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The room was clean, huge, and felt really luxurious. We loved that the hotel felt smaller and boutique. We also really enjoyed the bar and restaurant. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay again. Thank you for making our time in DC amazing!!

We just returned from an incredible stay at the Jefferson DC. From start to finish, we encountered exceptional service and incredible touches. When checking in, we happened to mention that we were having some friends come by later that night for some drinks/apps to celebrate my birthday. Upon hearing this, the receptionist immediately offered to reserve us a private room - completely free of charge! Later that night, as we had just put our daughter to bed and were about to head downstairs to meet our friends, we realized our baby monitor wasn’t working. Unable to leave our daughter unattended, my husband went downstairs to explain the situation and see if there were any babysitting services the hotel could recommend last minute. Instead of handing us a card, one of the hotel’s incredible associates, Liv, offered to babysit our daughter herself on the spot while we enjoyed our birthday celebration. This is the kind of service and *kindness* that truly went above and beyond all of our expectations! Couple this service with a superb meal, gorgeous hotel and thoughtful touches (baby soap/toys for our daughter, glass water bottles by your beside, relaxing bath salts by the soaking tub) and we were in complete heaven! We are repeat visitors to the Jefferson and can honestly say each visit is somehow better than the last. If you are in DC, this amazing hotel and staff will never disappoint!
